More Than a Sports Club

Ince Rose Bridge Sports & Community Club has been at the heart of Ince-in-Makerfield for nearly a century. Formed in 2001, the club brought together Rose Bridge Open Age Rugby League (established in 1926), Ince St Williams Junior Rugby — both with rich local heritage — and Ince Bowling Club.

Today, we are a thriving community sports club in Wigan, bringing people together both on and off the field. Whether it's rugby league on the pitch, a Scout group meeting in the clubhouse, a family celebration in our function room, or simply a friendly face behind the bar — The Bridge is a place for everyone.

From junior rugby league for children as young as 18 months through our Mini Bridgers programme, to Ince Rose Bridge LDRL, Junior Rugby, the Pantheresses girls teams, Open Age sides competing in the National Conference League, and Masters Rugby — sport is at the core of everything we do. But we're just as proud of the wider role we play in the community. Proud winners of the 2025 Believe Club of the Year Award, we remain committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone across Ince, Wigan, and beyond.
